AC Milan clear chances were squandered by Robinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The San Siro club playing style proved to be tough for Barcelona as they managed to stop Barcelona from scoring.

Chelsea eliminated Birmingham City in the fifth FA cup round but needed two games to complete the job. Real Madrid overcome Real Zaragoza with 3-1 win to go seven points clear at La liga summit after Barcelona drew 0-0 with Villarreal.
