Fernando Torres end Premier league goals drought in 4-2 Chelsea win vs Aston Villa

Right from the begin Chelsea showed the desire to win and move close Tottenham Spurs. The Blues score early on 9 minute through Daniel Sturridge (his 12th goal of the season) and Ivanovic added the second on 51 minute and Chelsea looked comfortably sealing the three points. Aston Villa then grabbed two quick goals through James Collins and Eric Lichaj.

The heat raise for both team each going for the winner, but fortune favour the brave, Ivanovic got his second, third for Chelsea before Daniel sturridge release Fernando Torres to score the forth goals and end his Premier league goal drought. It took him six months to score his 4th premiership goal for Chelsea but has been hailed for his goal assist.

Chelsea to fight for Champions league by breaking top 4 or winning Champion league this season.
Chelsea lag behind Arsenal and Tottenham by 5 and 2 points respectively, but spurs has a game at hand against Swansea City on Sunday. Still tough for Chelsea to break in top four considering opponents forms and few games remaining but surely Di Mateo will try to push hard and hard. Chelsea will still be in Champions League next season even if they fail to make top four by winning the Champions league this season, which seemed even tougher than breaking into top four. Next week Chelsea will face Benfica FC in Second leg after 1-0 victory in first leg away game.

Chelsea to play Seattle Sounder in Pre-season preparation, repeat of 2009 preseason

Chelsea FC has set a plan to play Major League Soccer club, Seattle sounder in pre-season on July 18 2012 and bring back memories of Chelsea pre-season in 2009. The club under Carlo Ancelotti won 2-0 against Seattle Sounders FC in 2009. Daniel Sturridge had just joined from Manchester City and scored and was involved in setting up the second for Lampard. The striker was hailed for his performance and playing for the team but currently he seems to play more for himself and try to score even if he is at impossible angle and his team mate are well place to receive the ball and score.

Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay said ''We’re delighted to be returning to Seattle to kick off our summer in the US,’…. .“We were there in 2004 and 2009 and both turned out to be winning seasons for us, so we're really looking forward to taking the team back.”

Three years ago, the match attracted a record squad attendance of 65,289, a good reason as to why Chelsea once again target pre-season in Seattle. Seattle Sounders are looking to open the entire stadium to allow more support in a game that will be sold as 4 match package. The 4 Match package consists of
Seattle Sounders FC vs Chelsea - July 18,
Seattle Sounders FC vs Los Angeles Galaxy - August 5,
Seattle Sounders FC vs Vancouver Whitecaps - August 18
Seattle Sounders FC vs Portland Timbers - October 7.

The blues will be touring Seattle for the fifth time, in four previous seasons Chelsea won three including two last visits.
2009 Chelsea vs Seattle Sounders 2-0
2004 Chelsea vs Scotland Celtic 4-2
1997 Original NASL Sounders vs Chelsea 2-0

Fernando Torres score ends 25hrs 41 minutes drought as he score two goals and assist two in FA cup

Chelsea eliminated Birmingham City in the fifth FA cup round but needed two games to complete the job. Fernando Torres end almost 26 hrs in 152 days goals drought scoring two goals and setting up two easy goals for Salomon Kalou and Meireles. Torres has been doing all the things right apart from his famous goal miss, he move well and pass the very well to team mates but the goals were not coming.

Roberto Di Matteo make seven changes from start line-up for champions league to rest some player for big game against Manchester City, Benfica and give other player some minutes on the pitch.

Gary Cahill open the score line, scoring his first goal for Chelsea. Torres picked up Kalou after fantastic run, Kalou well controlled the ball and send it to the right side of the keeper to make the score 2-0.

Torres added the third on 67 minutes ending the drought and may be signal his new start to keep pace with other top scorers in Europe. In 85 minutes Torres scored his second, fourth for Chelsea with flicking Raul Meireles’s corner with nice header. Two Leicester City’s goals from Jermaine Beckford and Ben Marshall sandwich Chelsea fourth goal. Another Torres run, this time on the left side of the pitch, he unselfishly set up Meireles who score Chelsea fifth and book a visit to Wembley stadium.

The win means 100% record for Di Matteo since he took over from Andres Villa Boas. The question will be does the blue have enough to beat Manchester City and start closing the gap with Arsenal. Di Matteo have a lot to plan for Champions league date with Benfica and weigh his election for every game.

The Match was surrounded by fan and players’ supports for Fabrice Muamba, Gary Cahill show his support for Fabrice Muamba his former team mate. The midfielder is still in critical condition according to updates and we wish him a faster recovery.

Liverpool beat Stoke City 2-1 and also book a place in Wembley stadium for FA cup semi-finals. Everton and Sunderland wait replay after 1-1 draw and Tottenham vs Bolton game was postponed after Muamba collapsed in 42 minutes.

Champions League draw: Real Madrid vs Barcelona EL-classico might be the final

Champions Barcelona to face 7 times Champions league champions AC Milan
Champions league holders, Barcelona have been drawn against AC Milan in quarter finals of Champions league. The two met at champions league group stage where they drew 2-2 first leg at Now Camp and Barcelona went to win second tie 3-2 at San Siro. Pep Guardiola’s squad won Champion league trophy 3 times in past 6 seasons and face AC Milan, 7 times Champions league champions. Barcelona had advantage of playing second leg at home in quarter final as well as in semifinal against Chelsea or Benfica.

Chelsea draws Benfica after seeing of Valencia and Napoli in tough second legs
Chelsea will met Benfica in quarter final and wish they won’t make situation difficult by their poor performance on first leg as they did against Valencia and Napoli. The Blue s drew 1-1 against Valencia and forced to fight for a place in round of 16 with 3-0 victory. The tough mountain to climb was after losing 3-1 against Napoli in first leg, they managed just to level the tie with 3-1 victory and sneak through after a goal in extra time make the score 4-1 and 5-1 aggregate. Benfica knocked out Zenit St Petersburgnd on round 16.

Bayern Munich have Marseille first obstacle for setting final in Allianz Arena
Bayern Munich will play Marseille, the French team see-off the Inter Milan with away goal rule and may be avoid rematch of 2 years ago finalists, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan. Bayern Munich having lost first leg against Manchester United Killers, Basel, they crashed Basel 7-0 in second leg with Mario Gomez Bundesliga and Bayern Munich top scorer hitting 4 goals to make his goal tally to 10

Jose Mourinho draw Apoel FC and on book Real Madrid a already at Semi final
Real Madrid is more favored to be at Semi final as they have been paired with Apoel FC. Ronaldo might use this fixture to get close to Messi in terms of champions league goals. After this stage Real Madrid or may be Apoel will met the win between Bayern Munich and Marseille. If Real Madrid and Bayern Munich win quarter final tie, they will make a date for another mouth watering fixture.

With this champions league draw, the chance to have another El Classico is there. Many football fan if not for their teams, they would like to see Real Madrid vs Barcelona once more. This will be a very tense and very emotional game for fans, players as well as managers and I would not like this to happen at Champions league final.

The quarter-finals will take place on March 27 & 28 and April 3 & 4 first and second legs respectively. Two weeks later semi-finals on April 17 & 18 and April 24 & 25 and final set to be on May 19 at Munich.

Champions League draw - Quarter-finals
APOEL Nicosia vs Real Madrid
Marseille vs Bayern Munich
Benfica vs Chelsea
AC Milan vs Barcelona
Champions League draw - Semi-finals
Marseille or Bayern Munich vs APOEL or Real Madrid
Benfica or Chelsea vs Milan or Barcelona

Chelsea had once again being held to a 1-1 draw but this time to a team one place above it on premier league table as Emmanuel Adebayor and Daniel Sturrigde score and set to enter premier league top scorers table. Tottenham are will be on third place on this Christmas with a game on hand.

Chelsea FC manager Andre Villas-Boas was impressed by his team performance despite a draw.
'The performance was outstanding, whatever outcome, whatever the result,' He said. 'Even if the ball had gone into the back of the net in the last minute I would have come out of here extremely satisfied. I don't think we lost two points, coming to White Hart Lane with the run Tottenham are on. Getting a point here with the happenings in the game is excellent. He continued.
The manager also praised the under pressure John Terry for his commitment. 'His commitment and concentration were fantastic,' .... 'He anticipated the situation and it was a big opportunity for Tottenham, but we had massive opportunities before from the shot from Drogba that hit the bar and Ramires one on one with the keeper. Jose Mourinho famous inspirational funny soccer quotes at Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid

Jose Mourinho has a big list of famous funny soccer quotes at Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid. It is just amazing to read these quotes; it is as if he always prepared to talk to the press.
Jose Mourinho in one of the press conference making his funny and inspirational statement and reading famous soccer quotes
He has been quotes several times making inspirational quotes, crazy quotes and life quotes as related to soccer . Some football quotes he make are cute or motivational to his player and fans and even to other famous football coaches. He has created friends with his friendship quotes and made several enemies with his quotes.

"This is due to Racing, who defended fiercely and played their game well looking to take one point"

"If I had wanted to be protected in a quiet job, I could have stayed at Porto. I would have been second, after God, in the eyes of the fans even if I had never won another thing."

"Young players are a little bit like melons. Only when you open and taste the melon are you 100% sure that the melon is good."

"The pace was broken by simulation, by injuries, by the stretcher coming onto the pitch," he said. "We're responsible for this because we failed to put a stop to it."

"Many great managers have never won the Champions League - a big example is not far from us.
"I don't say we are a defensive team. I say we are a strong team in defensive terms, but at the same time lacking sufficient fluidity in attack because that will take time to come."

"In five years I have never had a match where my team has had less possession than the opponents."

"When I go to the press conference before the game, in my mind the game has already started."

"The only thing that I want to say is that we are the best ones and in normal conditions we are more than the best ones. In normal conditions we will be champions. In abnormal conditions we also will be champions. "

"Please don’t call me arrogant, but I’m European champion and I think I’m a special one."

"I think he is one of these people who is a voyeur. He likes to watch other people. There are some guys who, when they are at home, have a big telescope to see what happens in other families. He speaks, speaks, speaks about Chelsea."

"It was a strange game. I think we all understand that it was no coincidence that he showed the red card to Sneijder. I have realized that they are not going to allow us to wrap this title up. But we were perfect. We would have won this game even with seven men. Maybe with six we would have struggled, but we would have won with seven."

"I am very happy at Inter. I am not happy in Italian football - because I don't like it and they don't like me. Simple."

"The way they are, tomorrow we will probably read I am to blame for the volcano. Maybe I have a friend in the volcano and I am responsible for that."

"I am prepared. The more pressure there is, the stronger I am. In Portugal, we say the bigger the ship, the stronger the storm. Fortunately for me, I have always been in big ships. FC Porto was a very big ship in Portugal, Chelsea was also a big ship in England and Inter was a great ship in Italy. Now I'm at Real Madrid, which is considered the biggest ship on the planet."

"I live and work in a world where you can’t say what you think, can never say the truth. Not being a hypocrite, a diplomat and a coward is my biggest defect."

"You can't win the treble every season. But I've done it twice and I think twice is quite a lot."

"So I know all about the ups and downs of football, I know that one day I will be sacked.”

Do you know others famous funny quotes by Jose Mourinho? Feel free to share on comments

Juan Mata score on his chelsea debut against Norwich City. Romelu Lukaku look promising as Didier Drogba injured

Juan Mata has scored for Chelsea FC on his debut to give stamford bridge club 3-1 victory over Norwich City. The left footed Spanish midfielder looked very creative and completed most of the pass before he steal the ball from defender and score. Only three 3 minutes after introduction he managed to cross ball to Fenarndo Torres but his country mate head did not find the net.

Another Chelsea summer signing, Romelu Lukaku replaced Didier Drogba after the later got injured. Drogba collided with Norwich goalkeeper and knocked uncosious while still on air but then landed awfully. The Ivorian striker was carried out on strecher. Lukaku was carefully planing attacks and passed the ball very and looked very energetic. The situation looked promising for Chelsea after introduction of the two left footed new signings not only for this game but for all upcoming games.

Earlier Bosingwa opened the score before Norwich replay after Hilario mistakes. Anelka then released Ramires who won a penalty after being brought down by Norwich Goalkeeper and Lampard converted to make the score 2-1. Juan Mata seal the score with third goal for Chelsea.

Juan Mata is closing on Chelsea move after Arsenal failed to bid

André Villas-Boas has made a move for Valencia midfielder, Juan Mata after seeing the lack of midfielder sharpness in the Stoke game last weekend. The blues are looking to land the Mata to Stamford Bridge for £23.6m after failing to secure Luka Modric signature. Fernando Torres, Nicolas Anelka and Didier Droba had displayed fantastic performance in past. But last season three didn’t score enough goals and André Villas-Boas want to a midfielder who can create more scoring chances and even score some goals like Barcelona duo Iniesta and Xavi. Anelka and Drogba have topped the top scorers table in the past and surely their chances will be high again with Juan Mata partnership.

Juan Mata, Valencia midfielder transfer move to premier league is still a possibility as Chelsea approach as Arsenal bid delayed
